Over dusty roads our journey led from Nairobi to Nyeri. With Richard and Ekai from Lentim Safaris as my tour guides I was doubly comfortable: to have a companion in a foreign country who is familiar with Kenyan culture and who also could communicate in English and Swahili without any effort. We stayed in the middle of nowhere, in a fantastic guesthouse surrounded by flowers, plants and bushes of all kinds. A farmhouse just like out of a picture book! Equally unique was the hospitality of Petra and her staff. The food was an experience every day and with the local specialities (buffalo meat!) a culinary "safari" of its own. Impressed by the nature and the excursions to different parks, I was amazed by Richard's and Ekais knowledge about Kenya's flora and fauna. They always guided us through the wild bush landscape of Africa with the help of a tracker, without me ever feeling uncomfortable. - Ramon, Switzerland
Ideal introduction into the African continent
I was able to travel to Kenya for the first time under the expert guidance of Richard from Lentim Safaris. The focus was on the Masai Mara and the Samburu National Parks, with the transfers also being part of the travel experience. This trip in a small group was an ideal introduction to a new country. Richard was born here and his heart beats for the country and its people.
The plentiful information about the country and its inhabitants was important to me, because I didn't want to see "only" animals. Thanks to carefully selected lodges, nature was always right in front of the "tent door". Ekai, our friendly driver took us safely from A to B. But above all his skill as a safari driver in the sometimes difficult terrain was impressive.
It was good to have enough time to observe the animals, but it wasn't just the BIG FIVE. The enjoyment of the bird world was also conveyed to me. Thanks to the observation journal, I still know today what a great variety of animals I was able to see live for the first time in my life. On well-escorted, secured bush walks we came close to nature: a privilege.

The quality of guiding by Ekai was top notch. He has a confident calm way about him that really provides the right amount of communication while achieving the goals we requested along the way. His driving was efficient and safe and didn't provide the normal stress that some Kenyan drivers cause.

An enjoyable holiday is a partnership between customer and host which is always easier for us to reflect upon in hindsight since we don't know the options until we arrive. We had never been to Africa before, but the Lentim team did a great job figuring out what kind of trip would suit us best. They listened carefully to our vague descriptions and translated them into a very well-organized journey, allowing us to experience the wildlife and the breathtaking scenery of Kenya in a very personal way.
Ekai never got tired of sharing his extensive knowledge as a guide. He was always happy to give us time to observe the animals or simply enjoy the peacefulness of nature in silence. Beyond that, we greatly appreciated all the information he shared about the Kenyan people and their way of life—it really helped us understand the impressions and observations we gathered throughout our journey.
And did I mention? We felt safe at all times, the lodges and hotels chosen were perfect (I lost my heart to Macushla House!), the Lentim team and their partners were all very reliable, ….

My mother and i traveled from Nairobi to
Ol Pejeta, fly to Masai Mara and back to Nairobi.
Altogether 8 days journey.
We saw all of the big fives and many more animals. It was an incredible trip, we couldnt ask for more.
Ekai was the best guide. He knows everything about the bush, the animals and the landscapes. We had a great time with him.
We felt us safe at any time.
Everybody was so lovely and nice to us.
Our time in Kenia was over so quickly, so we definitly will come back to breathtaking Kenia and we will travel with Lentim again.

Our two-week trip to Kenya (with safari followed by a beach holiday) was a dream and will remain unforgettable. Lentim Safaris organised it individually and perfectly.
